System Safety Engineering Subject Matter Expertise
Our team focuses on filling the specialty engineering areas of System Safety development under ARP 4761 and MIL-STD 882. Our safety experts are thoroughly trained and vetted before program engagement.
All Services Include:
-
Expertise in tactics and methods to decompose functions to understand, document, and track hazardous failure conditions to identify appropriate mitigation practices. Diligent documentation process in place allowing full traceability for hazard mitigation as part of the system safety analysis. This provides a complete and detailed record of all aspects of the hazard mitigation process.
-
Subject Matter expertise conducting system safety analyses at various levels, including at the vehicle level and all the way down into software and hardware domains. Special emphasis and experience with complex electronic hardware for FPGA validation and verification.
-
Templated effort definitions enabling proper scope estimating and tracking. Format suitable for understanding and communicating the safety process scope to all affected parties.
-
Ability to cross-compare objectives of both ARP4761 safety approaches and MILSTD-882E to achieve common means of compliance and justification/substantiation for the perceived certification objective deltas.
Our Extended range of experience working with many aerospace customers as part of the traditional industry format as well as part of the new startup operators supports new aviation, military, and commercial space applications.
Private Commercial Space Mission & vehicle Safety Design Inspection & Verification Program
Our vehicle and mission safety verification program provides private and commercial astronauts with an expert-level auditing capability for the mission and vehicle design they will take on their space endeavor. Our safety experts embed themselves with the development teams to fully understand, evaluate, and provide recommendations to the commercial astronaut clients regarding the readiness levels of the vehicles they plan to embark on. This advocate service allows private astronauts to exercise the same processes to gain confidence in the safety design of their mission vehicle. This increases confidence and establishes determinism through an independent, third-party assessment of the vehicle’s readiness.
This service is currently underserved and practically only available to Aerospace Companies. It is dedicated to the safety and traceability improvements for the commercial space sector. As the industry grows, we firmly believe in leveraging subject matter expert practices in accurately depicting the safety statuses of space systems. Accidents such as the Titan Submersible Implosion disaster have inspired our teams to open our system safety expertise outside of working directly with aerospace companies and provide a validation and verification deterministic perspective to the new class of commercial astronauts.
